???????????????????????????????????

It isn't enough to buy you a fast food meal...
It will buy you only half a movie ticket...
It will buy you a soft drink at the theater...
It will buy you a box of candy at the movies...
It will buy you a pack of cigarettes if you smoke...
It will buy you a Starbucks coffee...
It will buy you 5 Krispy Kreme doughnuts, minus the tax...

None of these things last after consumption.

What is it? $5. The price of our fund raiser raffle ticket. Just enough to possibly win you a brand new 16 gb WiFi iPad mini.

WOW! $5 is so much money to spend on a raffle ticket...

All proceeds go to help children and young unmarried mothers of Thrive Outreach Network, Inc. (Thrive!Moms) and you could also end up the very lucky winner of an iPad valued at almost $400 retail. Your $5 is going to a longer lasting, better cause.

 Christmas Pajama Project

Every year at Thrive we host a pajama Christmas party. We decided early on that since for many of the kids we are their extended family, and for some the only family they have in the area, we wanted them to experience a big loud crazy fun family Christmas Eve/Christmas morning with a big family and we needed to make it as close to that experience as possible including pajamas, good food, Christmas stories, family gathered around and a gift to open...they even bring their favorite stuffed animal or doll, and a pillow or blankie for the evening. It's a very special evening.

We also found that some kids need pajamas, some need pajamas that fit, some need pajamas that make them feel special for such a special time. Not only are they excited to wear them for this wonderful event with their extended family but they can't wait to go to sleep on Christmas Eve in their new pjs and to wake up on Christmas morning and run to their tree in them as well.

Sometimes we take the small things for granted not realizing they are the big things.

As a separate part of our Giving Tree event this year we are adding the Pajama Project for anyone who would like to donate a new pair of pajamas or a gown to a child for Christmas. Children in need of pjs will have their sizes ready by November 15th. Contact us if you would like to donate. Donations do not have to be wrapped, they can come in a gift bag and dropped off at our location on either Dec 12th 5:30-7pm or Saturday Dec 14th 9:00-11am, preferably Dec 12th if possible. Or any Thursday before then.

 The Christmas Giving Tree 2013

Would your family, church group, office or organization consider sponsoring a single mother and her child(ren) at Christmas by participating in our Giving Tree this year?

On a paper ornament mothers write down 1 Need + 2 Wants for their child/children as well as tell a little about them (their likes/favorites, age, name, etc), the mother's also add 1 Need OR 1 Want they may have and we hang them on our outreach Christmas tree by November 15th. Contact us if you'd like an information ornament.

All gifts must be wrapped and dropped off on one of our drop off dates: Thursday Dec 12th 5:30- 7pm, or Sat Dec 14th 9:00-11:00am, with only the children's and mom's names on them. The gifts will go under their tree to be opened ON Christmas morning.

It is our prayer every Christmas that every child will have at least 2-3 new gifts under the tree to open and that we are able to find someone to sponsor every family on our Giving Tree. If you are unable to sponsor a family, please help us by making others aware and re-posting!

This year we are adding another way of giving as well; look for our Children's Christmas Pajama Project post for details.
