Here Am I.    Consider your part...

Food Outreach

Become a part of a team for a specific event, or as many as you'd like, or help provide dinners or snacks for our weekly meetings and/or special events.

Thrive has special events and activities beyond the weekly meetings throughout the year.  We are always looking for volunteers to help us either in one specific event for the year, multiple, or in some specific way.  If you enjoy planning events, food, decorations, crafts, or creative outlets this just might be an area you will love.

Thursday Nite X-press, Arts & Crafts

Some of our moms never spent any time as children outside of school creating or playing with art and finding ways to express their creative sides, thoughts and feelings. There is such freedom through art to not only be yourself but to find new ways of expressing your feelings. We want to help the moms express themselves, learn fun ways to interact with their children through art & crafts and also to create generational keepsakes for their children and children's children.

They say a picture says a thousand words. A keepsake made by the hands of a child or a mother goes beyond words.

If you have talent in this area or simply enjoy being creative, you're needed. If you are unable to volunteer please consider donating craft supplies!

 M.A.M.A. = Make A Meal Amazing

Host a cooking workshop in your home to help moms learn how to make inexpensive, semi-homemade nutritious meals and experience the invaluable family feeling of dining around a table together in conversation, good food and laughter.

These meals are meant to be small, intimate and memorable, no more than 3 moms per dinner. Often we take for granted that everyone learns how to make even the most basic foods at home growing up but what if that was not your environment? Many of our moms have no experience with cooking and need our help.

Help us create a family moment that these moms will re-create with their children.

 Sowing Generational Seeds

The dedicated people who devote themselves to this outreach with special emphasis on the children are referred to as "Sowers" as a reminder of the importance and purpose of our investment in these young lives.

Our children's classes are divided into age groups with lessons, dicussions, play time, crafts, music and workshops that begin with a familt style dinner.

Thursday evenings 6:30-8:30pm.

P.S. I Love You ~ Random Acts of Kindness

Have you ever received an unexpected card in the mail among all the bills? Or a phone call or a little thoughtful gift?

What can lift a spirit faster than that instant when you realize someone was thinking of you and acted on that thought? It's priceless.

We try to randomly bless the moms in Thrive with small gestures that say they are thought of and to bless them in ways they may not be able to afford.

This is a great way to bless. We collect donated gift cards such as: gasoline, ice cream, salon, auto, groceries, movies, department stores/Walmart/Target, etc.
